Creepy Crawlies - Everything you need to know about parasites!

Are you suffering from a Parasite infection?
PART ONE - The Truth about Parasites
quoted with permission from Michael McCammon from NZ Herbals
More than 75% of our population harbors some kind of parasite.  A parasite is a living organism which receives its nourishment and shelter from another organism where it lives. In New Zealand there are 150 parasites known to commonly effect our population.
The key symptoms of parasite infection are fatigue, tiredness after meals, behavior problems in children, Attention deficit syndrome, headaches, low blood sugar, diabetes, heart disease, stroke, cancer, asthma, sinus, hay fever, joint and muscle problems including rheumatoid arthritis, Chohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome, allergies, skin problems especially eczema, overweight, underweight, stomach pain and low immunity and much more!
Many species of parasites show no socioeconomic boundaries and may be found in all climates. Evidence is now available to show that civilised countries have the same rate or worse of parasitic diseases that exists in third world countries. That means that even here in New Zealand it is epidemic in proportion and a serious threat to your health.  Once parasites are in the body they can do basically four things.
  1. Poisoning with their toxic waste known as, “verminous intoxication”.
  2. Immune dysfunction/ deficiency.
  3. Rob us of nutrients including vitamins minerals and amino acids.
  4. Cause trauma to the body by perforation of the intestines, etc.
The vast majority of parasites are seldom fatal: they do however cause a host of health related problems ranging from common colds and  allergies to severe such as asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel conditions, lowered immunity and much more.

Parasites can be present in any disease: Many individuals with parasites are unaware that they have them. On the whole unless your Doctor suspects parasites they will not even be considered as a possible cause to your illness. Even if the lab tests for these undesirable guests results will be hopelessly inadequate.
  • Parasites are great deceivers.
  • Most of them have several different stages of their lifestyle and in many of these stages they change both their location and nature.
  • Many individuals are in the twilight zone of health (not sick and not well).
  • When disease symptoms are suppressed without addressing the cause, more symptoms are eventually created to medicate.
The Sole purpose of parasites is to reproduce. They often attract the weak but can even infect healthy individuals. 30% of these parasites inhabit the lower bowel and many breed here before migrating to organs, glands, muscles, joints and other tissues. They will often settle in areas of genetic weakness
The large intestine is the nesting site of parasites – remove the nest by cleansing the bowel. Destroy the parasites and make your system an environment unfavorable for parasites by hygiene management and herbal cleansing.
Michael Mc Cameron's advice is to destroy the parasites with Herbs that have been used for centuries and keep them away by doing a 90 day herbal cleansing to begin with and at least a 6 week cleanse once year in or each spring season.
NZ Herbals PARA (pictured below) is the recommended herbal remedy.
Contents: Myrhh, Wormwood, Prickly Ash, Black Walnut Hulls, Licorice, Echinacea Whole Plant, Clove Oil, Echinacea Augustifolia, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Vegetable Glycerine, Colloidal Minerals,
Typical Dosage: 5 -10mls 1-2 times daily. We recommend using this product at least once per year for a total of 60-90 days (non-stop) depending on the level of detoxification needed. Please contact us for more information on this product and appropriate doses. It is also recommended that this product is taken with Blood Purifying Tonic to increase the body’s immunity and resistance whilst cleansing.

PART TWO – PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS
by Lyndal Jefferies
Cleansing your body of parasites requires four main stages.
  1. Removal of parasites
  2. Detoxification
  3. Nutritional rebuilding
  4. Maintenance to avoid re-infection.
  1. Removal of parasites can be done by taking the herbal tincture PARA from NZ Herbals as described above. It is recommended to use this product at least once per year for a total of 60-90 days (non-stop)
There are also several other approaches and remedies which can be done in combination with herbs. Different approaches are needed for different kinds of parasites.
Diatomaceous Earth is made from crushed fossils diatoms single celled organisms. It has high silica content and consists of very sharp molecules. It can be taken orally, 1 teaspoon per day in water or included in a detox Smoothie.
In our Revolution Deep Clean detox we add it to items in our detox plan in combination with bentonite clay which helps to detoxify the body and pull chemicals and heavy metals.  In the Deep Clean Detox daily enemas help gently remove old food and mucosal lining where parasites can hide. In my experience Diatomaceous earth can be very effective for intestinal worms. It literally cuts them up inside when they digest it. I always see at least 2 to 3 dead worms in my enemas when I do the Deep Clean Detox.
For non-intestinal worms like Liver Flukes a different approach is needed. I first started to see and feel Liver Flukes when I did my 3rd or 4th Liver Flush, they appear as small red or grey slugs and dead ones look like tomato skin. They reproduce on the full moon and quite often at that time my liver would feel itchy and small red bites would appear on the surface of my skin. I have taken the PARA herbal remedy from NZ Herbals for the flukes but found I needed to do a full 90 days of herbs to really deal with their full life cycle. Another approach I have used is adding 1 teaspoon of Gum turpentine to the oil mix when I do the Liver flush.
Gum Turpentine is made from the gum tree it is not to be mistaken for mineral turpentine which is petroleum based and poisonous. The use of Gum Turpentine for parasites is recommended by Dr Jennifer Daniels who rediscovered the use of this method from slave times. Traditionally slaves would put 1/2 teaspoon of gum turpentine onto a sugar cube and then swallow the cube, the idea being that parasites would come out to feed on the sugar and ingest the turpentine and die. More information can be found about Dr Daniels here https://archive.org/stream/turp_candida_daniels/turp_candida_daniels_djvu.txt
  1. Detoxification
Parasites love an unhealthy body, they go for the weak and intestinal systems with old stuck food and mucosal lining are the perfect environment for parasites to live.
Ensuring your gut is regularly cleansed and doing regular fasting detoxes to ensure your gut is working optimally is the best insurance you can make against parasitic infection.
A colonic every six months, or regular enemas or coffee enemas go a long way to clearing old food matter from your intestines. Coffee enemas help to increase bile flow and cleanse your liver.
Juice fasting is a milder way of clearing your intestines out, several days of just juicing or juices and smoothies can give you gut a break from processing solid food and allow old matter to come out.
However if you feel you may have a severe intestinal worm issues a Deep Clean Detox https://revolutionjuice.nz/products/deep-clean-detox?_pos=1&_sid=b2a698133&_ss=r is likely what you need. In this detox you drink a herbal cleaning tea and eat a mixture of stewed apple, diatomaceous earth, bentonite clay, psyllium husk and activated charcoal and do daily enemas. A suggested period of 5 to 7 days is needed. In this cleanse the old mucosal lining of the gut is gently removed and with it you often see worms coming out.
Liver Flukes require a somewhat different approach. I recommend starting with taking PARA herbal remedy for at least 3 weeks and following up with a Liver Flush (instructions for this are in my blog Have You heard about Liver Flushing). I usually add 1 teaspoon of Gum Turpentine to the olive oil mixture used at the end of the flush for an extra anti-parasitic boost. If you have flukes you will see them in sieve at the end of the Liver Flush. You will then need to continue to use the PARA herbs for 60 days and do another flush after. Unfortunately if you continue to see flukes you will need to repeat this process until there are none present for 2 flushes.
  1. Nutritional rebuilding
After a colonic, Deep Clean Detox or Liver Flush you will need to put some effort in to rebuild your gut biome and keep your gut moving cleanly. A good clean, high nutrient diet is also necessary to keep parasites at bay.
You can rebuild you gut biome by regularly having at least 3 kinds of good gut bacteria, this can be from good quality pro-biotic tablets, coconut water kefir, traditionally brewed kombucha, sauerkraut or kimchi.
Most parasitic infections come from eating meat and fish, consider a plant based diet. Avoid dairy and mucous forming foods, foods high in sugar and foods that block up your gut including wheats, pasta and white rice. Wholegrains, fresh fruit and veges with lots of leafy green fibre and clean protein like tofu, tempeh and eggs (if not plant based).
Go for organic food if you can and wash fruits and veges in a little apple cider vinegar in water if you can. Keep all pets and farm animals regularly wormed and wash hands after touching pets and wear gardening gloves.
  1. Maintenance
Some people choose to take a 'maintenance dose' of gum turpentine, taking one drop per day in water or a plant milk based drink to keep the critters at bay.
Others do 1 teaspoon of diatomaceous earth in water once a week.
Michael McCammon from NZ Herbals recommends doing 90days of PARA herbs once a year.
I also recommend a weekly water enema followed by a coffee enema and Liver Flush every 6 months.
The most important thing is to NOT GIVE UP tackling parasites especially when they have had many years to bed in is no easy task, however the health improvements gained over time are well worth it.
